JV Baseball
- 7th & 8th Grade
Baseball players in grades seven and eight make up the Patriots JV baseball team. The junior varsity team plays area GISA schools in the spring. Practices and games are held at our new Daniel-Buckley Field located on Hwy. 169, around the corner from the school.

Varsity Baseball

The boys varsity baseball team consists of players in grades nine through twelve. Patriot baseball is a part of the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) competing in Class AAA. The varsity baseball field, which is located on campus, has recently been resurfaced and has a new irrigation system. Team tryouts are held in February.

5th & 6th Grade Basketball
/ JV Basketball - 7th & 8th Grades
Basketball players in grades five through eight compete in the Savannah Parochial Athletic League (SPAL). The majority of these games take place in the Savannah area on week nights. Two or three games are played at Pinewood on Saturdays. The SPAL basketball season lasts approximately eight weeks.

Varsity Basketball

The boys varsity and girls varsity teams consists of basketball players in grades nine through twelve. As with all varsity sports, Patriot basketball is a part of the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) competing in Class AAA. Practices and home games are played in the Eddie Durrence Gymnasium. When opportunity allows, younger members of the team have the opportunity to play in B-team games.

Competition Jr. Varsity Cheerleading
Students in grades six through eight are eligible to try out for the junior varsity cheerling squad in the spring. This squad cheers at SPAL football and basketball games and participates in the FCC Nationals Competition in Orlando.

Competition Varsity Cheerleading
Students in grades nine through twelve are eligible to try out for the varsity competition cheerling squad in the spring. This squad hosts pep rallies and cheers at all football and basketball games. The squad competes in the AAA GISA State Competition and FCC Nationals Competition in Orlando.

Cross Country
This is Pinewood's first year competing in Cross Country.  We compete in GISA and other local events.


5th & 6th Grade Football

Students in the fifth and sixth grades have the opportunity to play tackle football just like the big guys. This local league is a new addition to the Pinewood athletic program where students are evenly divided into two teams. These teams scrimmage once a week for a six week period. Each game is played in the afternoon on Lowell Coley Field at Pinewood.

JV Football - 7th & 8th Grade
Football players in grades seven and eight make up the Patriots JV Football team. The junior varsity team plays in the Savannah Parochial Athletic League (SPAL). The majority of these games take place in the Savannah area on Tuesday or Thursday evenings. The SPAL football season lasts approximately nine weeks.

The varsity Patriot team consists of football players in grades nine through twelve. As with all varsity sports, Patriot football is a part of the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) competing in Class AAA. When the opportunity arises, younger members of the team have the opportunity to play B-team games.

Golf
Students in grades eight through twelve are allowed to be on the golf team. The team practices at Evans County Golf Course in Claxton. Team tryouts/rankings are held in the spring. The Golf team is part of the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) competing in Class AAA.

Varsity and JV Fast-Pitch Softball
Students in grades seven through twelve are eligible to try out for the varsity and junior varsity fast-pitch softball teams. Both Lady Patriot teams are a part of the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) competing in Class AAA. The varsity season is in the fall and junior varsity season is in the spring.

Tennis
Students in grades eight through twelve are eligible to try out for the varsity girls and boys tennis teams in February. The Patriot tennis teams are a part of the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) competing in Class AAA.

Track and Field
Students in grades eight through twelve have the opportunity to participate on tbe track and field team in the spring. Track practices take place at the school and, at this time, all track meets take place away, at area GISA schools.
