We had a great turn out for the Blood Drive on Friday, 02/27/15. The American Red Cross gave PCA a  goal of 25 pints. We surpassed that goal with a total of 33 pints accepted.Thank you to all the teachers and students that participated. Congratulations to the newest members of the PCA 1100 Club.  These students scored 1100, Math and English combined, in one sitting of the SAT or a 24 on the ACT.

Congratulations to Sophomore Miranda DeLoach.  She was chosen to be a page at the State Capitol for 4-H Page Day!
Congratulations to PCA cheerleaders on a successful trip to Orlando for the FCC National Cheerleading Competiton. Brayden Bland and Anna Freeman defended their national title in the Duo Dance division, Anna Freeman won the Individual Dance Competition.  The JV squad placed second in the Junior High Division and Varsity placed fourth in their very competitive division. Good job ladies!

Congratulations to Allison Womack for being crowned as the 2015 Miss Rattlesnake and Wildlife Festival Queen and Miss Congeniality.  Allison is the daughter of David and Nancy Womack.  We also extend our congratulations to Sarah DeLoach for being crowned Princess and to Helen McLendon  for receiving the People’s Choice Photogenic award.  Sarah is the daughter of Chris and Sharon DeLoach; Helen is the daughter of Bond and Melissa McLendon.

Congratulations to Lauren Dreggors, Madison Boatright and EmmaLeigh Skinner.  Lauren and Madison were chosen as delegates to the Canoochee Washington Youth Tour and EmmaLeigh as an alternate for the trip.

Rachel Miller, right , is the 2015 Daughters of the American Revolution essay winner from Pinewood Christian Academy.
Rachel also won the Glennville Rotary Speech Contest.  She will represent the Glennville club at the Rotary District contest in Savannah on April 4.

Congratulations to the PCA 7th grade girls' team on their back to back SPAL championships!

Congratulations to the PCA 5th grade girls'
team on winning runner-up in their first
SPAL season.

Congratulations to this group of students on their competition in the Southeast District 4H Junior/Senior Project Achievement Competition. Matthew McGlashan placed 1st in the Senior division with his project of Target Sports.  He will progress to the Georgia 4-H Congress State Competition this summer in Atlanta.  In the Junior Division Logan Haddon received 2nd place
in the Arts project, Nola Rushing 3rd in the Performing Arts Instrumental division. Students receiving Honorable Mention include: Miranda DeLoach, Payton Haddon, Michala Hobbs, Allison Womach and
Landon Walker. 
The SAIS/ SACS team has unanimously recommended Pinewood for accreditation.
We have passed the visit and will continue to be an accredited school. The committee stated how impressed they were with our family atmosphere, the loyalty of parents, students and alumni; That the mission of Pinewood was being met in all three areas of Spiritual, Academic, and Discipline. The committee wanted to compliment the students on their behavior and especially the students they interviewed for their honest assessment of the school.
